whats that little thing dave does after that tight jam on storytellers(with timmy using the slide), he doesnt do it on just storytellers, but, i am talking about that subtle little something right after the jam and right before "lovely lady...."

Since the last chord you should hit in the jam is the e (2224xx is what I play, not sure if mr kanter has the same on his tab) I like to slide up on the e slowly (I don't know where to... until I feel like I should be sliding back down, usually around 9 or 10), slide back down quickly without picking the string again, then go up and down real fast hitting the string both times. Slide back up to play that 557xxx chord and youre just movin along all cool and stuff. I like it.

since this is already here i was wondering if someone could make a recording for crush for me... especially the chorus... when i play it it sounds way too high and nothing like on storytellers... any recordings for crush are appreciated
Sort Of A Protest Song wrote:I don't know if this is shameful or not, but after waking up in a girls bed that was really high up off the ground (almost top-bunkbed type high) I told her that if I fell off I'd "come back to life as a white wizard". I was still a bit tipsy. She did not laugh.
cool, thanks for the input fellas, i think i got a better idea, kind of seems like there is no definite way dave always plays it, kind of different at different shows, but thanks for the general idea, sounds fine to me

When I first learned the chorus to the song, I never thought it sounded right.... especially on acoustic versions where Tim is being Tim and playing some odd chords to offset the high-neck chorus.shane wrote:since this is already here i was wondering if someone could make a recording for crush for me... especially the chorus... when i play it it sounds way too high and nothing like on storytellers... any recordings for crush are appreciated
If you find a solo DM show where he playes it (20021024 is prefect) you can tell that the chorus is, in fact, right. In that recording he just strums straight 16ths... nothing too "Dave-ish"
