Seriosly though Davy28, you're probably a good guy, but that's the type of comment that makes people hate DMB fans. Some are whiney bitches man, whiney bitches.
Take this one guy or example; walking back to my car after a show at the gorge last summer (8/7/03) and it was a good fucking show. They played some songs that don't get played much and some that are pretty rare (like Spoon). There were some cool segues here and there and it was a great mix of good and old (a lot of the set list was from BTCS) so how could you go wrong right? Wrong! This muthafucka walking behind me was like, "man, I'm so let down! their shows are getting worse and worse! I can't believe they ruined #41 by leading into Everday with it! I've heard Minarants better than that! Blah, blah, blah,....I'm a fucking mangina!" I couldn't believe my ears man. Why would you go to a concert of a band that you're a so-called fan of and then complain about it? A lot of people don't get the chance to see them ever! Take DustyDave for example; guy lives clear accross the pond and would have to come clear over here to see them. We should be so lucky. And dude, you got tickets to D&F? Come on! I would have given anything for those!

There's a lot of truth to what you said Sam. Good points. But.........................................there's always a but.... I can tell by what you said, you'll probably get some shit for it. So I will back you up on the issue, and elaborate on what yur trying to say. You did cover yur ass a little though, but I know what some people might think. That is, some may think, "What, it's not alright to criticize a show? Now we have to love everyshow???" That's not the point here. Obviously, some shows are better than others. But there is a trend with some fans, especially some of my friends. The trend is, bitching at every fuckin show....come on now...??

So I also don't like hearing fuckers at shows say, "Awww man did you hear when they fucked up this part or that part. Or aww man, that setlist sucked. Or the shows were sooo much better in the early days." If your gonna complain, just to complain, please spare us the agony of having to hear it. I'm not talking about you Davy, so don't sweat it. I'm just unintentionally, hijacking the thread for a good reason. I have a lot of tour buddies that bitch and moan at every show. Especially my one friend, Mark. He lives in Wisconsin, and we have met up for about 6 or 7 shows. Anyhow, this dude never says anything good about any show he goes to. He bitches about this intro and that outro and this tease and that reprise....yada yada yada yada fuckin yada...yada yada..... I ask myself, "Self, why do these critics continue to go to shows and criticize them?" Unfortunately, maybe fortunately, self does not ever answer. So I dunno....but 5 of my touring friends, out of the 20 or so.....just constantly bitch at every show. You would think they were'nt fans, but rather critics writing for rolling stone.... I can see the headlines now, "Dave Matthews Band, plays another meaningless show."

Anyhow, anyhow, anyhow, I could fuck a give care less, about whether or not the show was alright, mediocre, good, great, unbelievable, or down right sick. The only thing that matters to me is:

1. I was able to watch my heros tonight in one of the best atmosphere's ever.
2. I was able to spend some good time away from my hated job, and now I can deal with my hated job, and work another day, based on the memories alone.
3. I was able to hang with my cools ass friends, except Mark's dumbass (and if yur reading this, dickhead, you know you suck. and you know yur a whining cock-sucking, fuzzy-flap flounder....so go chew on somebody's asshole...you fuckin slobby cock-grumblin' Kookooyumyumpoon. fuckin you again, you hairy meat wallet)

4. I'm healthy and I'm not deaf....Sounds stupid, but really it's not. I think about it at everyshow. If I was deaf, my life would fucking suck. I need music, every minute of every day.

I will go against the grain in this thread and say that I too was at the show, and I too was a little disappointed that he didn't finish the song. But I am still glad that I got to see such a rare gathering of great musicians which more than makes up for it. I think the best part of that night was Dave and Trey playing Waste together, and Daves funky "Thank You" dance....I thought he broke his legs or something. He's all bouncing around the stage like a injured animal and we're all cheering him on, band mates pointing and laughing and he's all "No, my legs, there broke!" haha...ok, well, never mind. Back to mundane work for me.
