hated DMB, they were on the radio all the time and i just never liked them or 'payed attention' to the songs on the radio...then in May of '99 i was given a free ticket to a DMB concert at Foxboro, MA and have been a die hard fan ever since...funny how things work out...but the song that really got me, was Lie In Our Graves...just the jam and the sound really got to me....good stuff!

I wish DMB was on the radio all the time by me, I have rarely ever heard them on the radio since they started

A guy I worked with made me a 13 song cd with mostly songs from Crash and UTTAD back in 2000. Then when I saw them live that summer it did it for me. I'd say the song though was Billies.

I first found out about DMB through the Santana duet with Dave (in the netherlands we hardly get any DMB airplay) round about that time I was looking for some jazzy stuff (sounding a bit like Stings 2 albums), and Dave's voice somehow reminded me a bit of Sting (I know better now  ).
After that I downloaded a couple of songs from Napster (in the good old days). I think Rapunzel(GREAT lick!) and Best of what's around got me hooked for good.
Who says file sharing is bad for the music industry, I know own almost all of their albums (only Recently and Live in Chicago to go!).
cd's and a guitar later, i'm much happier

In 1993 I went to a laser light show at a planetarium and Satellite came on during the show and I was awed by the song.

I used to play bass along with What Would You Say, and used to hear Rapunzel and Crush on the radio. But it wasn't until two summers ago when I bought Busted Stuff. That made me a fan. Mostly Kit Kat Jam.

Satellite and WWYS caught my ear, then Best of what's Around and Ants Marching did me in. And my goodness, that was a long time ago.... :)

I actually never really heard them until my brother came home from college and started teaching me some stuff on the guitar. He first taught me how to play Wonderwall by Oasis. He had #41 and Ants and a few other songs tabbed out, so I sat down and tried to learn them along with the CD (Luther College). From then on I was hooked. But what really did me in was seeing them on some VH1 special and seeing Carter blowing bubbles from behind his kit....good stuff.
