it may have been the effects you put on that made the slide sound exaggerated, but we'll never know because you don't know either.

and the chorus is fun. i play the entire thing a little differently (not like dave) so that's how that is.

and don't worry about the vocals. i know what it 's like not having any equipment to record (no instruments to record, in my case).

anyway, keep posting! you'll get more long drawn out critiques from me. don't let that keep you from it. hehe.

hahaha, thanks man. And I was using Elixir Nanos but there are around that 2 month time. And it did still sound sqeaky without the effects, I did the 60hz hiss and some pop and click reducer or somethin that took a long time. I have no clue what I was doing, but I had fun dammit!

well as long as you had fun.

i think a combo of the noise reduction and reverb is best, though.

yeah actually here is what I did for sure:
-increased volume to 8.0
-20db boost
-Effects - Delay - Reverb - vocal, nice presence
-Effects - Filter - Graphical EQ - Simple bass lift
-Effects - Filter - Parametric EQ - remove 60 Hz
then i messed with the noise reduction
then some type of delay
then i have no idea what happened

me neither. do you know how to do noise reduction?

and the 20db boost plust increased volume didn't do much, apparently, because i still had to crank it up. lol.

NR - I have no idea what I did

yeah no shit, the volume was pissing me off cuz some stuff would be real loud, but like the chorus with just hitting those bass notes didn't do shit

a shitty Fender DG-11E... It sounds a lot better on recording than it actually is

Guitar was good on this, but the effects made it way to distant. I had my speakers on full volume just to hear it. I'd like to hear it with vocals though.
