Too Much solo style...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Too Much solo style...

Post by billywestom »

It seems that Too Much should be full band type song, but I love the way it sounds when Dave does it solo, like on the Farmaid 2002 performance. I watch that video over and over. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way, or have any other songs that they especially like to hear solo...
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

I prefer the full band version, but I do enjoy it solo too. He played it solo at the Benaroya show to on 10.24.02 and it was really cool. It used to be one of my least favorite songs but I've grown to like it just like any other.
good, and you?

Yes, the 10-24-02 version is excellent, he does a great job on solo. I don't have a preference, either way is awesome in my opinion.

Ooooooo Traffic JAM!
Got more cars than the beach got sand!

That's the cleverest lyric I've ever heard in my entire life.

"Straight in suck up and go cool it swallow swallow, ah breathe deep take it 'cause it comes cheap"

I heard Dave once say that Too Much was his favorite song to perform, but that it was somewhat exhausting. damn most of his songs are exhausting

it was a question by a fan at a radio appearance, I believe it was the KISS 108 appearance back on 3.15.01. He said he liked them all but that Too Much was fun and #41 was fun because they often have friends that come in and jam on it.
