DVD Video Mixin'
are all music dvds haphazardly mixed, or is it just me? well okay, not all, but some things really stand out to me. well, first of all my jeff buckley in chicago dvd is fine, except for the shots with the drummer, which are a second or so ahead of the audio. but what i was going to mention was the live at folsom field dvd, during watchtower. right when they hit the loud, fast part, leroi does a crazy trill thing or whatever, and for that part they have a close-up of his saxophone, except he's wearing a different shirt. in fact, it looks just like the shirt he wore on the listener supported deal. a couple of shots later, they do a long shot from the leroi side of the stage and you can see boyd in it, and he's strumming his violin, and the very next shot he's playing it wildly with a violin bow. now i know i've watched the folsom watchtower a lot, but it just makes me chuckle. has anyone else noted any huge discrepancies in concert dvds? i'm sure they're all over the place.
