favorite Dave Speak (audio)

Unread post by proudestmonkey41 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 10:20 am

i recently tried to create a thread where people posted their favorite Scats, but it didnt work to well. so i figure i'll try a new one. i thought it would be cool if everyone could post audio of their favorite davespeaks. i know there have been enough posts about davespeak. but i havent seen any audio floating around.

here is mine from a D&T show, in 1999 i believe. i cant remember the exact date. its the same concert where dave tells a fan to "shut the fuck up" in the middle of proudest monkey. its actually 2 tracks after i believe, and he continues to get pissed off at this dude. check it out:

there are to many dave speak moments to have a favorite. Just go to weeklydavespeak.com and listen to them. his stories about boogers, his cousin hitting a cow with a porche, and "It's f*ckin hot but it's not to hot to f*ck" He says the most random stuff sometimes that just makes you think is he on something.
a few examples
"Ever eat your own sweat tastes kinda like a steak minus the meat part"
His story when he shit his pants in africa

Way to shit out all the fun of the thread
The story about his cousin is pretty fucking funny though. This isn't really a dave speak but it kinda is, its d+t playing dancing nancies and dave goes off on a rant about being a drunk and wanting a drink. It comforts me to know that dave atleast thinks about shit like that, i'm not the only one!
Plus, you get the song too

If your talking about the dl i put up, the tab is just the same as the one on the site only there's more muting. If you know the song then, with a little improve muting you should be able to figure it out. All the same, the tab is the same.

Sorry, i'm drunk. I always talk like i'm english when i'm drunk. Blame it on all those bloody Monty Python movies. Right then, i'm off.

I don't have the audio but i love the one where dave talks about being drunk, naked, and locked out of his hotel room. the way he tells that story is friggen hilarious.
"It was cold in the kitchen and the lights were low as winter slowly stumbled home, the air felt different and it started to show as every breath resembled smoke, i was short of opinions and i wanted to know if i'd see your face tomorrow,
'cuz it was cold in the kitchen and the lights were low as winter wrapped around CHICAGO"-UM
