So I got a reply from the roadcrew

My question:
Name: Mike Kelley
Question: What effects does Stefan use through the harmonizer? It's a very
beautiful tone. It sounds very compressed but still punchy when he plays with
the flea basses. I'm also thinking he doesn't use the 3 Ampeg cabs for his live
tone at all, rather just for stage prescence, because I know he likes to 'feel
the bass,' correct?
the answer:
Thanks, Mike for the question. He uses a filter pan setting and some distortion settings. He uses all
three ampeg cabs on stage and it does suplement his in ear sound.

Cool, I wasn't really expecting anything at all. This is from that new Q+A thing they have set up.

I should ask them what happened to that too.

But as for me I can't decide between Dolphin 5 or Thumb 6. Both used so they would be cheap.

eaaaasily dude.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Warwick-6-String-Th ... dZViewItem

thats the only one at ebay. and i can get them at GC for half of cost if they are used. just got to look in the right places.

i think bass central has one for 1200 or something. keep an eye out and they pop on on the ebay for 950-1050 all the time.

but dont you feel its a bit of a gamble getting a used warwick because most of them need the wax on occasion to keep them in good condition?

used is the only way to get a warwick in my opinion!! i love the weathered look they get. you can always rewax a warwick and it will look great. but the same can't be said for any bass with a painted gloss finish. i'd never gamble on that.
