Me: i'm so excited for this now that they have the same producer as Kid Rock and Avril Lavigne. they are going down the shitter.
Me: oh don't forget the greatness of Green Day and My Chemical Romance. It's about time DMB was ranked up with these incredible musicians.

What bugs me is that, with this new punk/pop/crappy producer, it seems like the band is trying to reinvent itself... again... in ways that just don't work for this group. I mean, I can understand going for a new sound or whatever to a certain degree, but the moves to the pop of Ballard and the hip-hop of Batson just scream WTF, and I can't see the move to Cavallo being any different. It sucks that the band is actually getting worse as time goes on, instead of maturing as musicians, and deteriorating, especially after an amazing first few albums. I feel like they keep trying to fix something that wasn't broken.

I think Everyday was an okay album. I don't like comparing it to Stand Up. Because Stand Up doesn't have the right to be compared to anything.
