Dunno what version you've been listening to, but I've been loving the 8.5 version from hartford. I think it flows just fine.Nitro1515 wrote:#27, to me anyways, sounds like a song Dave worked on himself. Shotgun has a real Stand Up feel to it lately, its incomplete and sounds mashed together.

You don't think it sounds like two completely different songs put together into one? The intro/chorus thing does not fit at all.GSR wrote:Dunno what version you've been listening to, but I've been loving the 8.5 version from hartford. Nah, gotta disagree. I actually listened for that on the ride home from work tonight, thought it flowed well and the parts compliment each other nicely in my opinion. Love every part of the tune.Nitro1515 wrote:You don't think it sounds like two completely different songs put together into one? Oh ok, I always thought you were partial to the first ever version where they just played that one part with solid lyrics for 4 minutes. 6.10.06 I believeGSR wrote:Nah, gotta disagree. I do love that version, but mainly dave's vocal performance, and there are some lyrics I really like in that cut.Nitro1515 wrote:Oh ok, I always thought you were partial to the first ever version where they just played that one part with solid lyrics for 4 minutes. 6.10.06 I believeGSR wrote:Nah, gotta disagree. edit: And I've only listened to the hartford version from this tour, but I hope he's been keeping the lyrics pretty consistent. I really like the whole "what has become of us, watching the world on tv, there must be something better on" lines/theme.
