stop time intro

so we've had a little bad weather today, which means my classes were cancelled and i had a little time on my hands. so i decided to pull out the ol' Folsom Field DVD and try and work on warehouse a little bit. and i got to thinking...whats the deal with the "whoo!" during the stop time intro? i've been hearing it on live versions for years, and even done it myself at a concert without thinking twice. does anybody know why people do this, why it was started, or anything like that?

it started at 6/27/99 because stefan was pumping his fist, and it kinda caught on.

yeah fonzie! i didn't know he made it up... i thought the people at folsom feild were just crazy... and everyone learned from the dvd. :D :P

We do it at all the concerts now. its awesome to see the crowd so into it. amazing....yet another reason why warehouse is such an incredible song.
