I was there.

Pantala Naga Pampa -> Rapunzel
Thought we were in for a great night after this opener. Love it, really got my hopes up.

You Might Die Trying
Ehhhh........ kinda bummed that we found out we weren't getting an awesome almost stand up-less setlist. Whatever, still lots more show to go, right?

Rhyme & Reason
Okay, cool. Oldie but a goodie.

Hunger for the Vagina
STOP PLAYING THIS SONG. It doesn't deserve to be the song that turns on the screens. Everyone freaked out f course, though. Stefan pisses me off because I don't understand how the same guy who wrote The Dreaming Tree can be responsible for this punk rock mtv yell-fest trash.

#27
This felt really slowed down and more mellow than usual. I've been playing the Hartford versions non-stop, but I couldn't get into this one, like Gianni said. Weird.

Warehouse
I'm cool with Warehouse, especially when it is not preceded by Nancies. I don't know what the eff Toots was supposed to be doing. Hey, why don't you come up and pluck random notes on this acoustic guitar here? But he danced like an idiot and shouted random hip things, so it was clearly supposed to be awesome.

The Idea of You
Gianni's right. It's losing it's charm. I look forward to it being on the album though. I did listen for this kick drum problem that people have been talking about, but I didn't really notice it.

Corn Bread
I dig it. It's not a masterpiece, but it's a good song.

Lie In Our Graves
Place went ballistic because Trey came out, and Trey was in Phish. I'm not a Trey fan at all, but his solo was alright. Not that it's my place, but I think he should look at the fretboard when he solos, instead of that damn fly he has released into the venue before every show. It was funny watching him stare dreamily with his mouth hanging open at Boyd during his solo. No reprise = big WTF. Also went way too long for my liking. The damn song is 17 minutes with just DMB, add a guest and you've killed like half an hour. I can only listen to four notes so many times before I feel like shooting up the place. THAT MEANS YOU TOO, ABI. They really dragged this out to death. I thought the song was almost over for about 8 minutes.

Some Devil
It flipped me out when the whole band joined it. I really enjoyed it, especially the jazzy trumpeting from Rashawn.

The Maker
30 minutes of LIOG -> Some Devil -> The Maker = serious nap time. Great song, but not after all that mellowness.

Louisiana Bayou
I do enjoy Bayou, but not when it's one of four Stand Up songs. It bums me out every time Dave brings out the electric now. It never means good things. Dave did look a little bored though, which gave me a little hope.

Shotgun
I love it. Wish the crowd cheered louder after it though.

Crush
Same identical version you've heard before. But, it IS Crush, so okay.

Sweet Up and Down
WHEW, that was close. Amazing, but no one seemed to care.

Anyone Seen the Bridge
Really cool intro, good version.

Too Much
Good version, but ASTB -> Too Much is old already.

Stay
:dies:

Gravedigger
K.

American Baby Intro
Ugghgghghghghghghhh.... 4 notes, dave screamed. OMG.

Watchtower
Pissed off. Same exact encore as hartford, and they did it one other time too. Fucking BS.

So yeah, I was pretty disappointed in the whole thing. I think I fed into the SPAC hype too much, and was expecting something special. Or at least decent. The biggest thing I noticed myself thinking was that "just because Dave screams at the end doesn't make it an amazing song."

Hunger: I WANNA BLOW YOUR MIND BLAHLAFLKJLFAWWJWWL YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!

Bayou: IT'S A DAAAAMN SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!

American Baby Intro: SHE SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYSYSYSYSYSYSYSYSSYSYSS.

Watchtower: The wind began to HOWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLL JFIFFIREIEJLKJE:LKSJKLJOGMOGMOMGOMG

Whatever. I think I've had enough spending money on this band for a while, which sucks to say, but what're you gonna do.

And we know check, we're all a bunch of whiners, and it looks like a great set to you.

but for a lawn seat? i don't think so. plus i wasn't about to get ripped off with a fake ticket like what happened to gianni. i had my own "lawn seat" 10 feet from the fence and heard it just as well as anyone else. live dave, an 18 pack of beer, and 1 pizza = $23 night

Marvin, I have to disagree with you on ABI and say that is about as good as a four note song could ever be and is really nice to hear it live. So there.

Good review Marvin, that's pretty much how I felt. I think I need to take a break from going to shows, I really wasn't feeling it anymore last night, with the exception of SUAD.
