for drummers (drum kit builder)

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

My actual kit too....minus the DW thing, I dont like DW too much.

Mine's a Gretsch with a 18" bass, 12 and 14" toms, K zildian 19" crash and 22" ride and an 18" flat ride that Ill usually change with an 20" dry.

Lots of hours put into that kit, Im very proud of it

Two bass drums because I feel like I want 'em both. :?

Edit: BK, that looks like a standard jazz drumset in your picture. Any venue the jazz band plays at, the drumsets are usually like that. Is there such thing was what I described (standard jazz drumset)? :P Or am I just being dumb?

It is a very common be-bop/straight ahead set. Especaially with the smaller bass drum, just used for accents and not really used for groove oriented things as opposed to the uber-muffled bass 20" bass drums. And as for the whole One crash and one ride...I prefer having two rides, and a bigger crash. Just the way you accent certain things...much different then the groove oriented stuff out there.but even so I still have a 20" bass drum I can switch out depending on what Im playing, but I love my kit
