tab request: doormat by no doubt

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

this is what i got as of now. the only part thats screwing me is the intro, the first six notes

other than that.....

Code: Select all

the first part after the intro is just fiddling in E minor

G----------------
D--------------7-7-------------------7----
A--7-7-7h9h10------10-9---7-7-7h9h10--4-5-6-
E-----------------

G
D--------7-9(b/p7)-----------7-- (part b)
A--7-10---------------7-10-----7--
E

G
D----------7-9-7--------7-9 (then repeat part b)
A--7-10-7--------7-10-7
E

G
D--5--5--5--7--7---7 (insert quick fill)
A---5--5--5---7--7--7
E

G----9-----9------9----12--11---10
D (slap)(main verse riff)
A--7---5/7----5/7---10---9----8
E

G--7h9---7/11--
D (slap) (end riff)
A------7-----7
E
you can basically figure out the different parts...im still not sure about that opening 6 that reappears throughout the whole piece, but i think its E G B, A C E...its just that when i play it it doesnt sound right. basically thats it. there is a lot of "wanking" in the solo (which has the root of A...pretty typical to have a bridge type part start on the 4th)

umm and the rest i didnt put the order and stuff but if you can udnerstand what i wrote youll be able to figure out whree it goes in the song. pretty cool song tho. let me know anyone if i fucked up or if you can definately get the other parts or whatnot. hope this helps

well its like a kind of a semi-bend and then pull of to the 7. if you listen to it, its about at 6-7 seconds. you can vary how you do it i guess, its just feel, but the way i did it was a little bend before i pulled off to the 7
