my friend said at the end of the bass day 98 dvd he shows his basic form of tapping, and how he just uses major and minor forms. i just cant remember the finger positions my friend showed me, its like root, 5th, 3rd, and 9th i think.any help would be appreciated.

sorry for not specifiying- that was the minor chord. if you wanted major you'd move it up a half step, so --14

yup- use the minor with an ascending/descending minor scale on the e string and the major with an ascending/descending scale on the e string
