i just purchased a boss rc20 loop station on ebay. i was wondering if anyone had any experience with these/advice or tips/tricks with them.

nah i dont think so. just play around with it till your comfortable. some people have trouble timing it, but just tap your foot and always hit the pedal on one of the beats
