Fire and Rain (new song from me)

Unread post by Xoosh » Sat Dec 28, 2002 5:38 pm

<a href="http://www.eastofbeautiful.com/files/fi ... .mp3">Fire and Rain</a> (mp3)

Newest song in my creation list. needs work... this was my first take and only one track (which is why it sounds a lil cluttered at times... my fingers went off beat arg)...

finger picking style too... new experimentation. im also aware that the last 40 seconds or so kinda fall apart.

very promising, like you said a little cluttered at times:
1:09-1:16 - your fingers kinda jump around on ya at odd times
2:12-2:14 - timing needs to be fixed
also, you need to work a little bit on making sure that underlying beat remains steady

like i said, very promising, just needs a little work, better than anything i could do in prolly 10 years (i'm actually a piano guy who just picked up geetar a few months ago)

one of the all time BEST JT songs: another day.

oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. wow. such a good song. and something in the way she moves is just beautiful. absolutely wonderful. his new album is good. taylor is one of the guys i tought myself the guitar on. if you haven't checked him out, you need to. get his first greatest hits album (put out in the 70's, I think). GREAT music. His newer stuff can get a little poppier, and sometimes in an annoying sort of way (it's not britney pop, but if you've heard it, you know what I mean) but underneath it all there is always a shimmering song, whether or not you like the arrangement.
