A Little Original

Unread post by MWR » Thu Oct 30, 2003 8:11 pm

I found some hosting space so I thought I would throw something up. It's a trippy improved song I did a while back. Feedback would be appreciated.

that was pretty damn cool

i liked the fact that you pulled off that slow-decaying delay the whole time. it kinda restricted the length of the licks you could play, but you did it quite nicely nonetheless.

the only problem i had with it was the kind of licks you played. i realize the constant delay kinda limited what you could do, but a lot of the licks just seemed like runs up and down the scale. they weren't too melodic, like they were missing some feeling (mechanical like)

and what pedal were you using? i really liked those "whump" effects at the beginning and the end

Thanks for the response man. The delay is actually built into the recorder so I didn't have much control over it. I agree that the licks were a little ho-hum but I was going for more of a trippy kinda feel. The effect at the beginning and end was just taking a portion and reversing it with software. Thanks again for responding. I'll try and get something more musical up soon. Peace. [/i]

i liked it, i thought it was a cool sound

only thing i didn't like was that a couple of your fills your were playing didn't seem to match up at all, but that could just be the delay

hey man, not too bad. only thing is that it lacks song construction. that is how most peopel find attraction in music; by having a distinct chorus, verse, bridge, jam, etc. this is why i give you mad props to that lonely rider song, i rea

great job man. excellent. not really my cup of tea...i.e. i don't really like timmy solo and stuff, it's just too busy for me. but you did what you did very very very well. impressive. very soothing.

 I was really surprised to see this come up again. :D

Looking back the only part I really like about it is from 0:45 to 1:03 and the fact that it maintained continuity. Thanks for the kind words though. It keeps me motivated as I'm really hyper critical of myself.
