my #41 version

Unread post by borocks » Mon Nov 25, 2002 10:33 am

I heard this awesome instrumental which was posted a few days ago, so I decided to do that as well.
I have only a cheap guitar and a makeshift microphone (10$), but I think I made quite a lot out of it. I added a bit hall-effect with a sound-programm to make it sound a bit deeper. But it's not professional at all; I'm playin guitar for one and a half year, so please forgive me...
I'd like to hear your comment/criticism!

(You may have to wait an hour, if the download doesn't work yet)

Peace, Bo.

you're forcing your voice too much, chill and relax. don't try and go deeper it sounds unnatural. other than that, good stuff and you can have a great voice if you work it a little. cool stuff tho 8)

guitar sounds pretty good man. but with your voice, you're definitely trying way too hard. you're rounding each word way too much and it comes off sounding almost like a british english professor, if that comparison makes any sense. when you sing, try not to round each word, just kind've let it flow out, almost like you're talking. what many people don't realize is that the voice is an instrument just as the guitar is and it takes as much effort to master singing as it does with any other instrument.

on another note, what kind've audio program were you using? whatever effects you were using produced a really good sound.

guitar skills?

Unread post by borocks » Tue Nov 26, 2002 12:31 pm

I thank yall for the comments. I just wanna mention that it is difficult for me to sing in a language I don't talk in, but nevertheless I'm glad about your posts. (I know I ain't very talented in singing.........)
But how is the guitar in my song like? Is it alright for one n a half year practising? How do i get it better?

I'd like to hear your opinion...

well jeez if i would've known that english isn't your first language i would've given you more credit. it sounds good for someone that doesn't really speak english, as illustrated by the fact that we couldn't tell that you were foreign. the guitar sounded really good and the echo effect that you had on sounded really cool. keep it up bo.
