Original Song (YouTube) - Paint Me Some Color

Unread post by worldofsweetness » Sun Sep 02, 2007 4:17 pm

I wrote this song about a year ago ... finally decided to make a video. It's a depressing song, but it seems like I can only write music when I'm depressed. Let me know what you think.

Good job, especially the singing with gum in your mouth. Was that lip syncing i saw? The harmonies were spot on. The sound quality was very good. I usually only critique originals, and after hearing this one, I felt like I should put something here for you. The song was solid. Maybe you could post up some lyrics. Hope to hear more ORIGINALS from you, I already listen to Dave enough as it is :)
Good work

Hehe it was almost lipsyncing - I sang and played along with a recording I did awhile back, then just edited it to exclude the live sound... could have been better, I suppose. ;)

Here are the lyrics:

After a time I feel blank
Much in my head starts to fade
And in between the hours
I look for new space
To fill in this hole with some other me

chorus
All I know is fading
I can't deny it
Paint me some color
Brighten my day

Minutes pass like centuries
These are the days
You wish you didn't know
Well I would give anything
Including my soul
To be rid of this hell...
It is the unknown

Chorus, repeat.

:D
