Two full-band originals

Unread post by TimmyJ4140 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 3:46 am

Hey fellas,

About a year ago I posted some songs from a band I was playing in at the time, and although we're no longer playing together :(, I thought I'd throw these two tunes out there, 'cause I didn't originally post them when I posted the others. More for your listening pleasure than anything, 'cause there's no band to critique anymore, so enjoy.

Candlelight Cream

-- Our first completed song. Shawn (guitar) and I (piano, barely there harmonies) wrote the music, Steve (bass, vocals) wrote the lyrics. This is a later recording, our early rehearsals of this song had far better jams and were much tighter. Alas, no recordings of those.

Untitled

-- Early version of a song we later fine-tuned and added a cool, funky little break-down to, one of my favorites.

Enjoy tabs.

Listening right now. Candlelight Cream is really cool, and I like the powerful start, really got my attention and pulled me in. Everything is really tight, and I think my favorite part is the bass, very smooth. Good work

The second one was alright, but I definetly liked Candlelight Cream better. I'd like to hear the fine-tuned version.

Overall, really nice stuff man

On a side note, do you listen to a lot of Phish? and how many people have told you you guys sound(ed?) very similar to them?
