Well I know this is "soooooo last week," but I recorded a TB cover, without lyrics, to post up here. I know, I know, theyre boring if you dont sing, but I'm not even worried about vocals right now cause my guitar playing needs attention first. Listen, or dont, I dont care...I just feel that you cant critique others if you dont throw your own shit up for a listen. Been playing for a little under 8 months, with no other musical background, just for context.

Later all.

the intro parts sound dead on, and the verse part sounds just slightly off rhythmically. very good for only having playing 8 months, you must pick things up pretty quickly because it sounds real good.

Only been playing for 8 months? Wow....you're coming along great. Trippin is easily one of the more difficult DMB songs to learn but it's a strong first post. My opinion on this:
The opener sounds really good......solid effort on the strumming. The verse is damn close, about all I would say on this is that it does seem a bit rushed at times. The notes seem to be correct and I'm sure the longer you play this it will just naturally start to flow a bit more. The one part that I think needs some work is the chorus ("So why would you care....to get out of this place..."). The rhythm is off. The chords sound right, it's just the way you're emphasizing the strumming that needs to be tinkered with. Give a good listen to Luther College and if you've got Storytellers on video that would be a huge help. But like I said, it's very impressive for only playing 8 months.....a helluva lot better than I did at that point

woah, thats pretty damn good for 8 months...no way could I do that within 8 months of me starting...but anyway....the strumming is a little off on the intro, so just listen to daves carefully and you should be able to fix it real quick...and during the "eat drink and be merry"part, it's strummed a little different(i liked it), but you still keep the beat, so I don't see anything wrong with that unless you want it to be completely "dave-like"...good job bro...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really do appreciate it, because I will honestly scrutinize the specifics you pointed out and try to improve. I know my "flow" needs some work on the verse and that damn chorus is pissing me off, but Im downloading the storytellers mpg now so hopefully I'll be able to work on it some more. Its hard to unlearn things, you know? Thanks again, and keep 'em coming.
Oh, and I'll hit up your LLD later tonight jason. Got a SHITTY finance project to work on. Later.
