not bad

seriously....what do you use to record? (which program?) if you are using cool edit then try using it to remove the fuzz from the recording. To to make the quality a little better. That's about it.

Cover ws fine...nothing to say about the music.

hmmm, I remember getting a rather indifferent critique from "somebody" once.

jason, I'm becoming increasingly more fond of your vocals....they sound easy and not forced.......very smooth.....and as usual your guitar playing is spot on. Have you been practicing your vocals like mad? cuz your getting (in my opinion) really good. nice work.

thanks for the incouragement...you know what it is...that's how I used to sing when I started posting my stuff, but then a lot of people told me to do this and that, and it screwed me all up because I was trying to sing from my gut, and try to have a la la la sound to it(hard to explain)...but anyway, I was just trying to do what people had advised me to do...thanks again, I think I will just try to build on the way I am singing now...

anyone else want to comment on this Lover Lay Down cover?

good job. need some work though.

 no seriously, like greg said your singing is particularly better on this one and I can also tell how it has improved. I think maybe cause you're not holding back as much, or something. The guitar parts are sound like Dave
good, and you?

by quickly comparing my post to others, you look for some sense of affirmation like a junkie needing a fix...YOU NEED THE GLORY, and by your opening post, yo don't deserve it...humbleness is a virtue...

Jason.....real good job on this one...the vocals fit really well. The guitar playing was perfect, especially the transition and chorus at 1:38. Nice to see a different song posted......I enjoyed it.

yea so....everyone always talks all this shit about "elaboration"....fuckin whatever...

if you say it's bad, then say why...

if it ok, then say why...

if it's "good overall" then say why...it's not only limited to bad covers...right???

no then, who else wants to jump in on this critique???

guitar sounds impeccable. "rough" spots 0:42 (vocal: "to shine -- i will wait for you 0:56) sounds barely off. however this is not a bad thing as you are looking for REALLY indepth critique...i like how you sing this anyways... 1:39 "life to deny" sounds a little flat, but then again my ear may be really bad. you slur a little bit with your words when you do the speak thing when you're not singing. but it's pretty minor... 2:34 sounds a little forced. 2:56 "darling..." sounds a little off too. till we dance away (3:15 or so) sounds really good. "all" 3:35 "all" 3:40, 3:45 "all", etc... the falcetto all's are kinda high for your voice, have you thought about bringing it maybe a 1/3 down or simply work on the falcetto.

those seemed to be the only "problems" (i use that word loosely), basicly i dont think anything is wrong with it since you're not dave matthews it sounds like a very very good cover, but you want little things picked up on so that's what i caught with my own ears.

regards.
