God 12-strings are amazing. Just so much of a good thing. I've always wanted one but feared what I would do with it. I've tried one before and it seems pretty hard. Oh well, your guitar sounded pretty nice, and a vintage like that is always a nice investment. Overall, badass man.

Thanks for telling me. Now an enormous cloud of jealousy has come over me.

i couldn't tell you from the recording....because I would have to see it and play the guitar myself to tell you if it was worth it to trade it for a better one....but...

If you do want my advice I would say keep it..only for nostalgic reasons...I mean your mom bought it such a long time ago...why get rid of it?

Just save up and buy another if you really want another one...don't get rid of it for economic reasons.

Peace,

man, i wouldnt trade it for another guitar if you already have it. a 12 string can be good to improve finger strength, although personally i dont think they are any harder than 6-strings. you should save up and get a 6, though, because you wont learn right on a 12, its too hard to learn good muting techniques.
id say owning a 12 is good for screwing around every once in a while, as well as recording. ive had one for about a year now and i barely ever play it, it just loses appeal to me.
