my only advice.....add some vocals...i don't care if you suck...i ust prefer songs with words...

Elixirs
The thing that sucks even more than beaking a string is that I only had a set of Elexirs to replece it with...Now being a D'Addario man myself, that had to be the most disappointing thing to me...lol

Elexirs or D'Addario ?
I've always used Elexirs, was told by everybody to use them with an accoustic. Is D'Addario better, that's what Dave uses, right ?

Re: Elexirs or D'Addario ?
It's all preference. It's like the Matin vs. Taylor dispute. We just like to have with it on these boards.jseymour_va wrote:I've always used Elexirs, was told by everybody to use them with an accoustic. Is D'Addario better, that's what Dave uses, right ?

yeah, certain strings compliment the tone of certain kinds of guitars. For Taylors, the elixirs eccentuate (is that a word?) the brightness of the Taylor tone. For Martins, I think D'Addarios would compliment their rich tone. but its all what you like better. coated last longer but are too slippery for my liking, and seem to dampen some of the natural tone of the string. I've heard that John Pearse strings are even better than D'Addario but they're more expensive.
good, and you?
