Free iPod (Explained)

Unread post by qjuice » Thu Aug 26, 2004 6:37 pm

man this is great for music lovers.

do a google search and read more about this if you haven't heard about this and don't believe it.

i know some of you have seen this, but let me explain how it works. it's not a scam.
go here:
http://www.freeiPods.com/
you sign up and then you have to do a free trial thingy. just sign up and cancel right away if you want. it's totally free. then you convince 5 other people to do the same, and you get a free ipod.
here's the math:
the companies offering free trials hire an ad agency. in turn, they hire this company, called a "customer acquisition" company. as the name implies, they create offers that entice customers into these companies. it works because enough people don't cancel their trials to make it worthwhile to these companies.

don't believe me?
check out wired magazine's article about it:
http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,64614,00.html

or just do a google search and read about it. it's a legit company thats been with BBB for over 4 years.

Thanks for the link, I just signed up! I've already completed my offer. :) I told alot of my friends about it too, and they said they'll definately complete the offer. Once again, thanks. I hope I helped.

None of that is true. Go home, and buy yourself an iPod.

Yes, there have been numerous posts about this. However, with this being your first and only post, I don't think that it's fair for you to be asking others to be your referrals (and is actually against the terms & conditions of FreeIpods.com).
