OK, so the votes for the next contest cover were as follows...(in the poll)

I am just gonna put the ones that made 2 or more votes up...and we'll make a voting poll in a new unit of time...

so pick one from the poll or suggest one in a post...and we'll see which one we're gonna do next...We'll let this go until late tonight, or early tomorrow...I added two, and mentiooned jimi thing because I saw that some people wanted to do it...

anyway, when you pick, if you got time, state why...of not, no biggy...late

Well Jimi Thing is (I think) the most open to improv and creativity, while still flaunting a talented and fun Dave peice. I would deffinitely join ther contest if we were to do this one

i like the idea of an open cover contest better
i will host it and set it up if everyones too lazy

i just found it boring listening to tripping billies after tripping billies

i say we mix it up a bit

why dont we give the option to do whatever we feel best with, and grade them by who is best all around...all things concidered...

honestly fire...nobody can do lead like you man....the only way any of us has a chance is that if it's all done with one recording...a man and his guitar...one take only....otherwise, nobody has the equipment or "add-on" ability that you do....

Personally I like the idea of everyone doing one cover because it gives a basis of comparison between each one. It's hard to compare say Watchtower to The Stone. I mean the Stone is harder but Watchtower may sound better.... so where do you give props to? Difficulty or appeal....

Yeah man...I wasn't knocking you because you're idea has some good points...one being that people could pick whch song they feel they are the best at and play it...

I just like the idea of having a common ground so that we can relate each cover to the same thing becasue every song is good in it's own ways...

yeah, I guess you can't judge them by their distinct charactoristics...

and if we would all be in a maze of song, these should be the ones that people post on their own...ya get what im trying to say...no dissin... :wink:
