Here's a treat for ya

Unread post by gregplaysguitar » Mon Feb 17, 2003 7:05 am

Well, apparently I'm not very popular in the Tripping Billies comp, so I thought I would post and plug the rest of the covers I've done. Up at my sight:

http://www.angelfire.com/music5/gregerly/

I've got my instrumental (guitar and marimba) versions of #41 and Long Black Veil, Full cover versions of Spoon (I've posted spoon before, but it was a long time ago) and Tripping Billies, and and instrumental I wrote that's pretty simple, but I plan to do more with it in the furutre. Comments are welcome, <sarcasm> as my confidence was shaken in the TB comp. </sarcasm> Thanks yall,

peace,

greg

Your Spoon link doesn't work.

I'm listening to your little instrumental piece and it's very nice. nice and relaxing, ya know. Are you gonna add vocals/lyrics to it, because it be even better then. very nice work

Thanks for the comments grave. And congrats on the TB contest. You played very well. The spoon link is fixed now, I don't know how I missed that. Thanks again.

I just listened to Spoon and realized that I listened to it awhile ago. Did you post it on Ants..org or something like a month or two ago? anyway I like it. I like the baby in the background "dada dada dada" nice harmonies with you and that girl singing. You have a nice voice, dude, those high notes are hard to hit, and you're smart not to try to hit them but instead to stay on the lower octave. nice job.

yeah, I have posted it on ants before..that's probably where you heard it. I just had it sitting on my comp. so I thought I'de throw it out to the wolves again. Thanks for your comments, Yeah, the high notes weren't happening in rehearsal with the lead guitarist and the other girl, so I went' down. Again, thanks for the comments. Anyone else?

i LOVE all the marimba songs (esp. Long Black Veil...very proffesional  )...I really liked the spoon cover, but it had too much reverb and backround "fuzz"...i would love to hear a slower paced one that was a little more polished, because that Spoon cover was awesome...your voice sounded exceptional on this one too...great job :D
