Ants Marching......................................

Unread post by i-am-me » Wed May 05, 2004 9:53 pm

So i busted a recording of ants today, cause i was bored and didn't want to start my homework. so here we go. one track on everything except some fills that i put in to take up time.

some spots are a little rough, i'm aware, and the fills i just played around with some things (dueling banjos, the start of one of timmys little solos...) just went along with what i wanted to do. then the last "solo" is actually kind of amusing. i know you guys didn't really wanna hear just dave's part, so i threw in some high pseuto-tremolo stuff. lol. trust, you'll laugh i think. but whatever.

of course, critique the shit out of it if you please. i really need a lot of criticism to get me moving along, and you guys are great for that. :)

VOICE ESPECIALLY!

thanks guys.

This is a nice mellow version. The solo guitar was maybe a too loud toward the end. It sounds like you're not singing with much emotion. You should feel like you have some pressure built up deep in your lungs, so you can wail when you need to....imagine Dave's face when he's belting out the high parts of songs. You can tell there's a lot of air moving, which is something you could work on. It sounds like you could also sing the "Take these chances" part high instead of low if you worked on it. Besides those things, it's a good cover. Well done.

ya, i agree on the "take these chances" being sung higher...It was a honest attempt on the "same wayyyy" part...Keep working on them vocals and your recording...with a few tune ups here and there you have a pretty cover imo
What did the five fingers say to the face...SLAP

lololololololol. i was waiting for someone to laugh at me for that one. its tough! lol. my range isn't that large, and trust me, the take these chances part, i can do it kinda, but its really soft, and sometimes i can't hold it long enough...and its just too much shit.
