I love that song.. Gary Jules cover of that song is great.. A lot better then the original opinion. I liked the guitar in the song because its different then the way i usually play it.
Its like... getting two birds stoned at once. (Ricky-trailor park boys).

I liked the guitar arrangement you used, but the vocals were off key.
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.

That's a good cover man, I first heard that song in the movie Donnie Darko, good flick if u havent seen it. Don't let the vocals bum you, try jumping around with your voice, higher and lower and see what u like best. I think it's good. Keep posting!

haha thanks xoosh, and everyone else for your comments

Aero: I naturally sing in a very low range, so this song is actually more towards the top-end of my range..

I haven't found that many acoustic guitar type artists that sing in my range.. guess it is an uncommon thing.

Yah, sure.. I basically play it as two parts; Part (A) is everything other than the verse, and Part (B) is the verses. The picking pattern I use is mostly subconcious so you can put your own spin on that.

Code: Select all

Capo 1st

(A) (B)
--------|--------------
--0--5--|--0--3-----5--
--0--6--|--0--4--2--6--
--2--7--|--2--5--4--7--
--------|--------5-----
--0--5--|--0--3-----5--
