I posted a rough version of this tune before, but it has evoloved dramatically. I added alot and took alot out. I took a different approach when writing this one, and I think I like how it came out.

That's pretty cool. How many tracks is that recording? At times it sounds like it loses its timing, but maybe I'm not feeling it right.

since this is one track i can certainly forgive some of the timing issues. i LOVE the harmonics coloring. I think you utalized harmonics perfectly.. *all you solo guitarists better take note. this guy does it right!*
This guitar track is slamming. No doubt, it's hot. I listened to it many times and love it very much

hehe i sound like a young schoolboy. I really think it's hot shit. honestly...
Where do you live? maybe we should talk about getting you into a studio

Thanks so much for the feedback Xoosh. I appreciate it, especially from you, because you understand the style of music I'm going for. (Love the songs on your site...alot)
I live in Stamford CT, but I have access to a very well-put together basement studio pretty often. I plan on going over there in the next few weeks. The owner is an amazing guitarist.
Once again, thanks for the comments.

Should you be attempting to throw together a professional resume to get real gigs instead of coffee shop setups, let me know. I deal very intimately with artists in my area who need press kits, webdesign, cd artwork, and other merchandise. It is an understatement to say that my clients love my work.
Check out my somewhat outdated portfolio at
http://www.eastofbeautiful.com (in the next few days im goign to be updating all of the musician merchandise i've done)
I can be reached via email and cell... 301-910-5773 and
jon@eastofbeautiful.com or AIM: onariversataboy ... should you be interested...

xoosh havent seen you around in a while, what have you been up to?
Pat this song, from what i heard(for some reason the download stopped after 1 minute), sounded great. It has that cool separation between the bass notes and the melody. Great work cant wait to hear more:)

Hey J, i've been pretty busy. Ive been doing freelance graphic arts and design for both small time clients and BIG time clients. So my free time to post on boards has dwindled. I recently made the purchase of a mac and moved into my own place... so i do believe i'll be around more often. My band has also been taking off... i was telling matty earlier that my band has been filling local venues with ease, which is nothing short of thrilling... we're playing 60-70% instrumentals, and people still dig us.. so that's basicly what i';ve been up to (besides moving into my own place, working, going to school, and writing music...) ... how about you? still loving your music

Awesome work, man. I love your site design. I'm still young, (I'm 15) so I'm not sure about all this professional resume and stuff.
But if need be, I will contact you in the future.

Hmmm, that sounds very familiar to DR DR. Almost as if you broke it down to an easier way of playing the melody.

I could be way off though.

hm. wow. thats wierd, i wrote this before i had ever heard that song. what similarities are you hearing?
edit: i guess when you write a song that has similar (but unique) techniques, it can make songs sound similar. for example, when i slap all the strings ( don does it as well), and guess the overall fingerstyle/slapping technique.
another edit: i guess the :51 mark on his vid is a little similiar to the second section of mine.
damn.
