Matt Nathanson's "Angel" Cover

Hey guys - put this together this morning. Let me know your thoughts.

Angel (do the right-click thing)

Lyrics:

you sounded so good on the phone
all moved up and all moved on
me and gravity we never could agree
I can almost see the sky
when I need to close my eyes
you're the only thing that's worth holding on to

angel you sing about beautiful things
and all I want to do is believe
I traded my dreams for this mess of memories
and they just stopped working for me

I'm not a monster I believe
like a liar would believe
helps me navigate the wooden smiles, the raging sea
all my heroes pull their heads
like a fighter would I guess
no one really ever likes getting older

angel you sing about beautiful things
and all I want to do is believe
I traded my dreams for this mess of memories
and they just stopped working for me
-Brian

Be excellent to one another.

sounds pretty solid, i'm not really familiar with nathanson but you definetely have a country/southern twang to your voice (or maybe it's the verb) but it's sounded cool.

nice work with the cover man, i like matt nathanson, and i though u did well on your version of it, very countryish voice, but it fits the song very very very well. it also nice to hear a cover where somones not trying to impersonate the artist. very good A+....

PEACE!!!
don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself
this love's too good to last and i'm too old to dream

don't grow up too fast don't embrace the past
this life's too good to last and i'm too young to care

don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself
this life could be the last and we're too young to see

i'd like to hear you do a radiohead cover, i think it would sound really interesting with your voice. something like karma police or street spirit.

Brian, that was great. I've never heard the original to this but I cant imagine it being any better than this.
Great work. It's a pity it was so short though.
