thanks all
Thanks for all the tips, the main thing I recognized everyone mentioned was practicing a lot and making it flow better then just playing to record. I have realized it sounds kinda forced like someone said. For some reason since BEF was my first recording I felt nervous which sucked big time and I felt I needed to hit every note perfectly instead of just feeling it out and letting it flow. I do not care for playing BEF anymore, so I probably won't record it again. Also it was also the first time I used multitracking software so it took me forever to record BEF, almost making me dread playing the song which isn't good. I am feeling Incubus a lot right now, and LIOG so you might see me put some different tunes up. Until then, I cannot wait for Caves Incubus song to get posted. Thanks all and keep jammin.

it sounded very good.BigSpeen3436 wrote:By the way, the guitar I used was my best purchase ever. $150 for this Fender DG-11E. I know it sucks, but for $150 it sounds amazing. To record I just used Cakewalk and I hooked my guitar up to my soundcard. I thought it sounded pretty good too for a $150 setup.
good, and you?

My guitar has a piezo pickup, so I just plugged in a regular guitar cable, and connected it to a converter. Not sure which type, I borrowed it from a friend who got it at radioshack for 5 bucks. It has a female input for the guitar cable then a male output for the soundcard. The output thing is the same as a mic or speaker one for a soundcard hookup.

Hey man, I listened to BEF and I thought it was pretty good. I agree with the other guys that you need to spice up the rythmn a little bit but I definitely think you make it all sound interesting with the multitracking that you do. The violin part that you put over the main part of the song sounds really good and gives the song some dimension. How long have you been playing? For a first try, it sounded really good. I would say just keep practicing those chord changes and strumming and you could make it even more cool. Keep up the good work and keep posting.
