ok so im playing at guitar in the big church for youth sunday this sunday(i usually play youth group cause im 13 biotchs) and i am so excited. my bro is on bass who freakin rocks and this other guitarist and a couple other peeps like this danney carey-style drummer. WE GONNA ROCK THE CHURCH YEAAAAAAAAAAA

I got kicked out of my youth group band when I was sixteen because I "didn't follow instructions," which basically meant they wanted me to strum open chords on my electric (on top of the two acoustic already doing this) with the distortion off. I kept improvising. They hated it.

But yeah, I hope it goes well.

My church band used to be like that but just because the guitarists werent experienced enough to do it yet. Now there are three guitarists. I normally improv or write some second guitar part over it, another guy does the same or plays power chords over, and the third guy doesnt just plays open chords.

Its cool though.

im the only guitarist in my church band... i play the chords but i make the rythm very dave-esque with lots of mutes. sometimes ill switch it up a little bit and move it to barre chords.

i play a wicked mad distorted happy birthday though
