ok so i played guitar for a long time ... then i stopped a while ago for..well stupid reasons that aren't important...
anyway, i pick it up today an dit's like riding a bike i guess you never really forget. i played a few songs and came to the realization that i have no callouses but figured whatever, they will come back. playeda lot of songs, lot of sliding, and it hurt, but i figured it was a small price to pay...
so i played about 10 or 15 songs and i look at my middle finger and holy shit it's got a huge blister on it...all nasty and filled with liquid and shit....and did i mention it hurts like HELL?
i'm not exactly a guitar noob, so strumming a few chords every day isn't a logical option...
any advice on how to make my fingers good again, and if at all possible, FAST?
good lord this is painful.

If you play a lot you should have calluses on your fingers, once they form it is impossible to get blisters because the skin is too tough.

Once the blister goes away, you can try the putting the super-glue on the fingers thing.

that's what I use too, but if he wants the KY of strings, the Polywebs are the way to go.
I need to move up to mediums next, so i think i might try the polyweb mediums and see how i like them.

Buy weights or a gripmaster thing to build speed. Or do it the old fashioned way and just do nonstop finger exercises.

Also, there is this thing called "New Skin" or something like that. A bunch of hardcore violinists I know use it. It is like a liquit callous.
