i would NEVER bring a 914 into the dorms. That is asking for drunken trouble. Bring a beater, or at least something not quite as nice as that.

god i cant wait for college...im just gonna go outside my first or second day and sit there with a guitar and play all the songs chicks like and see just how much pussy you can get in one night...oh yea and get drunk off my fuckin ass

This isn't trying to sound mean, but don't worry about playing for the move in day or orientation. Meet people. At worst, meet people who will listen or play with you. Take the time to get to know people instead of spending EVERY free moment playing guitar because you'll be THAT guy right away instead of later :wink:

Enjoy college, especially the first few days to meet new people!

that's how ive always been, i have friends that dont even know i play the guitar, i treat it as a hobby and i dont really care for playing in front of people that much (unless its a gig and im getting paid). plus it sucks to be put on the spot like that when you really dont feel like playing, and people keep hassling you about doing it
