Listen to Layla, the electric version, not the one on the Unplugged album. Get the intro in your head and then listen to Old Love on the Unplugged album...

you know i listened to this (old love) the other day and was trying to figure out why that riff sounded so familiar

because it's the same riff in a different key. :thumbsup:

i remember asking my older brother this question a few years ago before i started playing guitar and he just laughed at me.

yep. i noticed it a year back or so when i learned how to play the electric version of layla. i'm not hating though, the songs are obviously way different.

He's a god amongst men. He can play the same notes a million different ways, and all of them sound amazing.
