Wait what kind of guitar do you have again? Yeah I'm pretty sure with your guitar it won't matter what strings you throw on it. Its still gonna sound sweet.jsgksu wrote:Exact opposite here, I think anything but elixirs sound terrible. hey if your asking me what kind i have its an Alvarez RD-8...yea i know its bottom of the barrel but thats all i could afford at the time and since it was my first guitar and i wasnt sure if i was really going to get serious about playing or not so i opted for something that sounded good but didnt destroy my bank account. Ive notice NONE of you guys even mentioned anything (good or bad) about silk and steels. all i know is that now that i'm playing more i'm having to put on a new set every month...no kidding. i have a set of d'addarios that i received as a gift during Christmas. maybe i'll throw those on my guit-fiddle and see how i like em......

If I ever venture to KSU and your guitar ends up missing I have no idea what happened to it. I played a 410ce and guitar center a few weeks ago and it had the best sound IMO of any guitar there.jsgksu wrote:Oh, you mean my Taylor 410ce Limited Edition with the Firedancer TRC, yeah, I can post pics if you want.BigSpeen3436 wrote:Wait what kind of guitar do you have again? Limited Ed with rosewood or a regular one? Ive never played a regular series one. Ive played with like 3 other guitarists at a time (my moms friends with very expensive Martins, one of which a D45 from the 60's) and mine cut through all of them, it was so much louder and stronger, I really like it. Probably dont deserve it but I like it, I really need to play out or get in a band or just find a jam buddy, Im tired of playing by myself (cue jokes)BigSpeen3436 wrote:If I ever venture to KSU and your guitar ends up missing I have no idea what happened to it.
