Full cover, full song...

drums...acoustics...electrics...distorted sceaming leads...vocals...bass...electronic drums...

8) geekmug did the drums, bass and an acoustic guitar track last night, I did the rest about 2 hours ago until now...

some could be mixed better, but this is what came out in the limited time...

Only listened to the first 30 seconds so far but I gave it an impressive cuz it was sweeeeeeeeeet... Awesome cover guys. Great song to pick BTW

EDIT: After listening to the full song, I should have voted "insanely impressive", but I couldn't find the button for it. Fire was that you on electric??? Whoever it was, when it kicks in at 1:34 or so, was amazing... The solos towards the end and middle were even more amazing. Besides being able to tell the difference between Fire and Hexums vocals, I thought it was 311 playing. Especially the beginning intro on acoustic by geekmug. I know its just a simple E and partial C(sorry, don't know real name), but it sounded right on. As for the mixing, the acoustic guitar could have had a little boost around 3:08-3:25ish. You can't really hear it at all. And fire when you come in at 3:30, I love it how it goes into the solo-type thing, just thought i'd mention that one more time. Best cover I have heard on these boards so far!!!! Honestly, with all the weird shit 311 does, I didn't think anyone would be able to recreate it as good as you guys have done. GOOD JOB!!!! Since I have talked so highly of you guys, and told two of my best friends/huge 311 fans, you must take my reguest... DO A COVER OF LOSE!!!!! Please I wanna hear you pull off that solo Fire....

First off, wonderful song ive always loved it.. one of the only 311 songs that has great lyrics.

Very nice intro and the drums sound wonderful although the bass is a little low

great job on the vocals allthroughout..

Excellent job on the bridge and guitar solo(great sound)

reggae guitar parts seems kind of off at parts...but not to bad

pretty good job on the end guitar solo, overall excellent job guys keep em coming.

thanks all...

yeah, looking back on it, I see there are some real rough spots...I take responsibility for those...geekmug should only be held accountable for the drums and bass...had some trouble mixing all of those tracks though was the real problem...maybe we can spruce it up a tad then...meh...

but thanks for listening...and more so, for saying something :)

Really, really cool. I used to be way into 311, back in the day, and I always liked to put on transistor to fall asleep to. Great job on the cover guys.

Just one question: So does having the highest post count on the boards mean you dont have to pay attention to those pesky forum descriptions? :)

Sorry, I had to add that in. 8)
