Advanced Pick Help (Ha Ha)

When Guitarists like Dave or John move to a solo where they finger pick from a song where they strum, how do they hold the pick while fingerpicking, what fingers i sit in between and how do they make sure it doesnt fall. thanks

I usually jus quickly slip it in between my middle finger and my ring finger, i.e Christmas Song, when Im done playin the verse, I quickly jus slip the pick inbetween my ring and middle finger, then when Im done with the chorus, you slide it back out and start playing again... Dunno if its the correct way, but it works for me

I remember reading an article where Angus Young of ACDC was answering the same question. He said he slips it into his palm, kinda cradleing it with his pinky. Seems difficult to me.

There is no correct or incorrect way.. if it works for you use it

I personally will just hold the pick in my normal posistion for songs like the christmas song, and use the rest of my fingers.. but I dunno, that isn't right obviously, i hate finger picking anyway..

Yeah, most of the time I think people put it in their palm and cradle their hand. This is how Timmy does it (check out the Crush solo from Storytellers).

Lol, only reason i don't like fingerpicking, is cause i'm too lazy to want to learn how to fingerpick, I fingerpick for songs like #40 and Christmas song, but i don't really like doing it..

I love finger picking, it makes it so full, songs like eveyday, I love playing cause it's so quick and full. I like fingerpicking
