Thanks to the DMBTabs Community
(I may be in the wrong forum here, but I trust you'll move this to where it needs to go)
I just wanted to shout out a very big and very sincere "Thank You" to everyone who has participated in this community, past and present. You guys have created a place where even a novice guitarist like myself, with just a little talent and a lot of discipline, can learn to play the music that we all really love. From the tabs, to discussions about muting techniques, to the esoterica of which type of pick to try, I continue to find information that helps my playing grow faster than it would have if I had just plunked away on my own. Even the sometimes flaming dialogues yield some bit of information (albeit couched in someone's ranting) that I have been able to apply to studying the music or add to my playing.
It may sound "over the top" to say this, but you've all contributed to the quality of my playing, the quality of my life and, by extension, the quality of the lives of the people that now listen to me play and say "Hey, man. That was good. Play that again, will you?"
So, to the leaders AND the followers of this site (like me), thank you again for creating a place like this for us to enjoy and contribute to.
To the Administrators of this site, you're doing God's work. There is no way to thank you enough. Except write checks, which I intend to do shortly.
Much Gratitude.

Wow...thanks a lot for that post. It really mean so much to me to see posts like this on the boards. They can get so out of control sometimes(as you said) that it's nice to see someone actually take time to thank everyone.
As for thanking me...all you can really do is thank me for starting the site up. Other than that...everyone you want to thank is in the community...and that includes Brock.
I had the idea behind the site but it wouldn't be ANYTHING without this community that you so rightfully thanked. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I think we have one of the best communities on the internet. It's not as large as others and we can get feisty if people start bashing others who are regulars...but overall it's very calm and sane and helpful and informative.
So I'll thank the poster again for this post and give my thanks to everyone for keeping this website alive, running and making it a great place for people to learn things in all facets of life.

I'm with you on that one NitroNitro1515 wrote:I really do love this site. You can do it all here, get guitar advice/tabs, post your own work, talk about the band, meet cool people, so a big thanks to Kanter and everyone else as well.

Don't listen to jkanter, he's not really in charge here. I am. Talk to me. So what were you saying about writing checks?jkanter wrote:Wow...thanks a lot for that post. hosting the oscars is like winning the heisman trophy. no matter how you do in the ballgame, or whatever, they can't take it away from you. and even if you kill your wife and an ex-waiter, they still have a hard time taking it away from you

Very nice post!! This is a great community which we should all be very proud of. I think everyone here works very hard at welcoming new people trying to help each other.
Don't believe Kanter....he didn't just start this site up...he put his heart and soul into this for a very long time...and he set the "vibe" of this site that made it so cool and friendly. It is a group effort, true, but he deserves alot of credit.
