So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

005533, -24232, 022030, and
-54030.
Except for the third chord and a hammer on on each chord, this is how Howie Day covers this song... A nice different voicing of the song.

Not really into Howie Day, but he does a great cover of the song. I really dig the ending.

I've never had a problem with the hammer-ons... but.. I found the stretches were made easier if you liek slid up the fret board and down so you didnt realy pick up your fingers alot... that helped me a ton. after I learned it, since i play by myself alot... i tacked on the end a lil rhythm jam at the end where i take liek the main riff and do it in all sorts of weird whythms and stuf and i dance around.. my contribution of the song, and soemtiems i jump into a ED/#36 outro just to change it up a bit... its always fun to go from a fast rhythm thing slowing it down to "honey honey come and dance with me" i just love doing it and then fading out wiht those high position chords... makes me feel warm and tingly all over.. but yeah.. whiel they may be unnessecarily difficult.. they are fun!
