Does Dave pick the main riff for Recently with all downstrokes or does he mix it up?

I cant speak for dave but i like to mix it up, just me though...it helps keep time.

i think he strums it, using downstrokes. there's a bluegrass band called "breathe" who has put out two cds of dmb songs bluegrass style and they do a really cool version of recently, picking style.

I have both Breathe albums. The first one is better IMO. The second one is good still, but the first one sounds a lot closer to the real things.

thanks guys. Yeah i thought it was downstrokes b/c of the stone video where he plays downstrokes in a similar way. I'll have to check out Breathe. Bluegrass is a nice change of pace.
