I was thinking that It would be an excellent solo before the song. It would kick all forms of ass by itself, building up into the song. I could envision it going into different parts. Maybe with some sort of beat slowly building it up. Only to drop back down at the begining of the song. I don't know ...

Yeah I was trying to convey that to my Bass player, but he wants none of it. Originaly it was supposed to be a little more depressing of a song. It seems it has been turned into more of a Jam band song though. I guess I just want to know if my feelings on the song are justified or not.

I always thought that you were supposed to be inspired to write good music. I would never write a song until I "felt" it. Most of the times, I would write the first verse, and chorus, and then quit. Then I got wierd, and started reading up about enlightenment, and such. The first thing they talk ...

You can't go wrong with Jay Z. "I'm a hustla baaaby, I just want you to know." "It ain't who I am, it's where I'm about to go." That should get some people riled up. It's pretty simple too, just listen to the song, and you'll play through in no time.
