Of the top of my head, the verse goes a little like this: Bm G A D/F G A D/F -2----3----5-----------3----5-------- -3----3----5-----3-----3----5-----3- -4----4----6-----2-----4----6-----2- -4----5----7-----0-----5----7-----0- -2----5----7-----0-----5----7-----0- ------3----5-----2-----3----5-----2- ...

Hi, Not sure if this is the bit you were talking about, and its been a while since ive watched cp, but i think its like hit F sharp then A on the 6th string, the B on the 5th string twice, then play Dbm->Bm then do the same pattern up a string, and play Ebm->Dbm. Kinda gives you the starting of a li...

Hmmm...could the reason be a practical one. Stefan is the only member of the band who plays with a fat ass stack of monitor amps behind him, sticking a mic in front of him with logically pick up a hell of alot of bass and very little voice. Just waiting on the day he, carter and leroi slam out a cou...

If you can pull it off well, people will like it. Blending different influences works great, the band i play with is mainly indie, but where we all come from jazz/classical/world backgrounds, most of our songs pull so many influences together. Got some ones with kinda african dance rhythms, ones whe...

Ive been working on a real easy intro to crash where you hit the bass notes while playing tremalando on the 2nd and 3rd strings, sounds pretty cool.

Virgin Megastore Trippin Billies

Does anyone know the words that Dave sings instead of the last verse and at the ending over the chorus pattern?

Thanks

Theres are music technology magazine here in the uk called sound on sound, in this months issues there is a big feature on the man Glen Ballard. In several of the photos of his studio, you can see a bari guitar (looks like the jerry jones), so im guessing dave saw it there.

Little guitar song

Im currently working on some lyrics, but churned out this recording so i dont forget what it sounds like. :D Opinions are m...

Traditionally a key is used to simplify the notation of a piece, as at the begining you would be told which notes are altered, which means you havent got bars full of accidentals. This becomes very useful if you have music in keys like C sharp major. The key also gives you a rough guide to solo over...

Well, best way to do it is to spell out all the chords, then find what key fits. This however gets screwed up when you get jazz tunes or dave tunes that change keys all over the place. But in the example of billies, if its A, D, C, Bm, then you have the following notes: (btw, i dont know if these ar...
