the trick to crash is the get the bass down first. maintain the chord shape, and just play the bass notes along with the song. when you can do that comfortably, just add the flicker of the wrist after every bass note

he has teased dmb songs a half-dozen times...i'm pretty sure he doesnt hate dave

used to play with a guy who had a scalloped bass. he was really into claypool and sheehan. i never really enjoyed it

if you're on your own, I'd go SMTS. have fun with the vocals and you'll blow everyone away

he has multiple guitars, so i think its rarely necessary

dave probably has no clue (or very little) what goes into his amplification scheme. He has guitar tech's and sound engineers that do the technicals for him. On tour he doesn't even change strings. He plays the music, thats it.
