Hey, your tab looks close, but I think he plays two notes differently than you have tabbed. I think this sounds closer to what he plays (I play it down farther on the neck, but it's the same as yours, just a few notes different ...

I assume you're talking about the badass horn lick they played @ Rothbury, among other places? They played a few different ones throughout the year, but I think the Rothbury one was played at most. Anyways, this is what I got:

Les is sick...he's so creative. Honestly, I don't think it matters how fast anyone can play or whether or not they use a pick...if you're doing something on any instrument that's innovative and your own style than you're a good musician imo. Les is a great example of that. I guess Flea isn't all bad ...

Just because Marcus Miller can rip up a pentatonic scale doesn't make him the best bass player. Like people have been saying, listen to Vic on Flecktones stuff and there's some of the best basslines around; or at least more impressive than Marcus. If you really want a trip, listen to Stanley Clarke ...

^^^^ I agree somewhat...unless you have your heart set on being in a cover band, it's probably better to do more improv than playing exactly what Tim plays, especially in solos.

However learning stuff people like Tim play is never time spent badly if you ask me. IMO that's where you get your best ...

I'm downloading it right now...took like 7 tries I gotta go to work soon, but hopefully I'll be able to at least listen to it once or twice before I need to leave.

I would forever be indepted to you Kevin if you could get the first solo of LIOG... I can't figure it out for the life of me.. I noodle with the second solo.. but the first one just boggles my mind..
