I agree totally, and wouldn't even really consider doing it if I only had one guitar, or on a nice guitar. However, I recently got a new taylor, so my old, sorry Alvarez beater has been just sitting around in the case. The thought occurred to me the other day that I could use it for permanent altern...

I just bought some of these today. I'm diggin em so far. They're quite a bit brighter than the Tortex, which I like, but seem like they'll be a lot more durable than celluloids.trippinants13 wrote:I just ordered these, they look sweet.

IMO, it's a great style to learn. Strum picking adds such a dynamic element to your sound...especially when you're playing solo. The key, as most everyone is saying, is selective muting. It not really that hard when you get it down....after a bit, it becomes intuitive and your fingers learn to do it...

Re: one sweet world intro
Back to the original question....I thought the same thing when i started to learn it. Try playing 0h1 0 instead of 0h1p0 and see how it sounds to you. I.E., don't pull off to the open sting, pick it instead. I think that's the way it's played...at least that's what I hear. Give it a shot and see wha...
