The bassist's name is Mark Schatz. I saw him play with the band at Bumbershoot. They had a different bassist at Wintergrass 2002. I think that Thile's father played bass with them, too. For all you Seattlites, "on the mountain 9" has an awesome live version of Spit on a Stranger.

LIOG fills

I had a D&T LIOG circa 1997 (although I can't remember the exact date). During the long jam, Tim was playing his normal stuff, but then he did these cool bass runs. I will submit them once Jared opens up the contribute section....let me know what you think E:--------77-7---------77-7----------55-5--...

I actually like my 12 string more than any of my other guitars. It is a Yamaha that I bought in downtown Seattle for $250. It has lower action and sounds incredible. It is a good way to improve fingerpicking. I played some Taylors and Martin 12 strings for comparison. Obviously, they are better, but...

You give me the Martin and I'll give you two guitars (one for standard, the other for raised B tuning). It sounds fair, right?

I have a tape that from ~94-95 where Dave starts Tripping Billies with the Nature Intro and sings. I know the lyrics have nature in it.

I guess that you could also play

Dm (5th fret) -> Gm (3 fret) -> Am (5 fret)

Tim adds some flavor to the song once the entire band comes in.
