Also, I believe mayer has a modded BD-2, but it shouldn't be that far removed from the stock model (which is great IMO).

I got a hold of this guy's album. It's a solid album, called Veneers and it was released in 2003. All the songs are real chilled out acoustif folk sorta stuff.

Def check one out. I've only played the Mexi version and even it was SWEET!

Depends on the sound you want. Fenders tend to sound more country western and twangy to me, while hollowbody guitars are very warm sounding and have a lot of sustain. I used to have a 30 watt acoustic Crate. It wasn't that bad. Wasn't that good either. I don't think I can reccomend them, but I certainly can't say "definitely do not buy this"
